Oíche Nollag atá ann agus tá Ré agus a hathair Peter lasmuigh ag breathnú ar an spéir féachaint an bhfuil Daidí na Nollag ag eitilt thart.  Bhuel, tá Ré ag breathnú ar an spéir ach tá aghaidh Peter dírithe ina fhón póca mar is gnách, é de shíor ag obair. Go tobann tosaíonn an dara réalt ar dheis ag glioscarnach…tagann sé níos cóngaraí agus níos cóngaraí go dtí go bhfeiceann muid gurb í Tinkerbell atá tagtha chun foláireamh a thabhairt do Pheter! Baintear geit aisti nuair a fheiceann sí go bhfuil Peter fásta agus leadránach agus go bhfuil an oiread sin draíochta (agus gruaig!) caillte aige , oiread agusnach bhfuil ribe le feiscint fiú amháin! Tá an t-ádh uirthi go bhfuil Ré lán de ghliondar agus spraoi agus tuigeann Ré an foláireamh… tá an Captaen Hook ag teacht leis an Nollaig a scriosadh! Tá tús leis an eachtra anois… tá ar Ré agus Tink an draíocht a lasadh i Peter arís agus an Nollaig a shlánú… ar aghaidh leo go … Neverland*, le Peter a cheapann go bhfuil comhtholgadh air, tar éis dó titim de luascán i mbialann ag cóisir oibre na Nollag an oíche roimh ré…. cén chaoi eile a bhféadfadh na rudaí aisteacha seo a bheith ag tarlú?

Tá Geamaireacht na Nollag ar ais! I mbliana beidh ‘An Dara Réalt’ i lár stáitse na Taibhdheirce idir an 7 agus an 20 Nollaig.

Tá an seó iontach seo stiúrtha ag Cillian Ó Donnachadha a bhí mar stiiúrthóir in Somewhere Under The Rainbow – The Liza Minnelli Story san Olympia Theatre agus i dTóraíocht an Yummy Mummy, geamaireacht na bliana 2018 sa Taibhdhearc. Tá Cillian ag tnúth go mór le bheith ag obair le hamharclann na Taibhdheirce arís.

Ag labhairt dó faoin seó is é a dúirt sé: ‘Samhlaímid ar fad an scéal Peter Pan, ach céard a tharlaíonn nuair atá sé fásta? Tá bean aige, páiste, jab agus morgáiste. Ach tá an chraic, an chrógacht agus an eitilt caillte aige. Freisin, tá baol ann go gcaillfidh sé a iníon leis an droch-chaptaen Hook.  Bí linn don geamaireacht nua den scoth le Doireann Langford’.

Le feiceáil beidh Diarmuid de Faoite (BAOITE) mar Peter Pan, Aindrias de Staic (Last Orders at the Dockside agus Jimmy’s Hall in Amharclann na Mainistreach) mar Smaois, Mairéad Ní Chonghaile (An Tíoránach Drogallach) mar Hook, Hilary Bowen Walsh (Alice in Wonderland le Blue Raincoat Theatre) mar Tink. Beidh James Riordan (Brú Theatre) mar chóiréagrafaí, le ceol beo le Deirdre Ní Chuilinn (stiúrthóir ceoill), Ciara O’Connor agus Matthew Berrill.

Le seacht ón gcúig léiriú déag díolta amach cheana féin, moltar do dhaoine na ticéid a chur in áirithe go luath.  Beidh an seó ar stáitse na Taibhdheirce mar seo a leanas:

By Hook or by Crook, get the first flight to An Taibhdhearc…

It is Christmas night and Ré and her father Peter are outside keeping an eye out for Santa, well Ré is keeping an eye out but Peter has his head stuck in the phone – working as usual. All of a sudden the second star to the right starts to glisten … and come closer and closer until we see that it is Tink, who has come to warn Peter! She is shocked to see that Peter is all grown up and boring and that he has lost so much magic (and hair!) that he can’t understand what she is saying. She is happy to see the Ré is full of  joy and fun and that he can understand the warning… Captain Hook is coming to ruin Christmas!
