***LUNCHTIME SHOW- ‘I, KAVANAGH’- AT THE TAIBHDHEARC*****

For the Cúirt literary week that is in it, give yourself a lunchtime break and catch some theatre in the company of Kavanagh at the Taibhdhearc!

I, KAVANAGH is a one-man show on the life and work of the Irish poet and novelist PATRICK KAVANAGH devised and performed by Noel McGee. In a lyrical mix of the real and the imagined, interspersed with tender and funny moments, the show brings us on a journey with Kavanagh the man and the poet through his own words.

Noel McGee is probably best-known for playing the part of villain Jim O’Dowd in the TG4 soap, ROS NA RÚN, for several years before his unfortunate and bloody demise. He has worked for Druid, Focus and Project theatres, TG4 and RTE, as well as directing for stage with Aisling Ghéar and Aisteóirí Aon Dráma.

The show under one hour long, and refreshments are available in the foyer.
