Seacht Scéal

Is mór an ónóir ag POC productions, i gcomhair leis an Taibhdhearc, ‘Seacht Scéal/Seven Sagas’a chur i bhur láthair.

Le blianta beaga anuas tá Diarmuid de Faoite ag forbairt stíl nua scéalaíochta chun eachtraí Thuatha Dé Danann in Éirinn a insint. Scéalaíocht traidisiúnta lán le fuinneamh, fisiciúlacht, greann agus tagairtí comhaimsireach atá mar thoradh ar a shaothar! Feiliúnach do chách, idir óg agus sean, tabharfaidh ‘Seacht Scéal/ Seven Sagas’ ar eachtra shamhlaíoch tú a chuireas dinglis ar d’anam!

Mairfidh an dinglis céanna seacht mí, ag tosnú an mhí seo! Seasfaidh chuile scéal as féin, ná bíodh imní ar bith ort má chailleann tú ceann, ach inseoidh an t-iomlán scéal Thuatha Dé Danann in Éirinn ó chruthaigh siad an domhan (an é nach raibh fhios agat sin?) nó gur bhain na Gaeil cuid den domhan sin uathu!

Scéalaíocht ar an sean-nós, inste ar an nua-nós!

POC productions are delighted to team up with an Taibhdhearc to present seven stories over seven months to tell the enthralling mythological epic of the Tuath Dé Danann’s reign in Ireland. Multi-Award winning actor, Diarmuid de Faoite (Best Actor Nomination, IFTA 2012), has developed a style that is true to the storytelling tradition, embellishing it with a very active twist, bursts of imagination and lots of hilarious present-day referencing.

His engaging ways enchant both young and old, native speaker and visitor alike, to carry you away on an enthralling journey through Irish mythology. From the creation of the world, Tuath Dé Danann style, to their eventual demise with the coming of the Gaels to Ireland, ‘Seacht Scéal/ Seven Sagas’ is an anarchic romp through Ireland’s mythological past and cultural present.
